Town Hall

The Town Hall is the main building where Fletch handles town management. It is the upgraded form of the Base Tent Deed and becomes available once the player has recruited 5 permanent residents. After the upgrade, it serves as the central place for town-related services and replaces the Base Tent as the player’s main civic building.

Unlike earlier town expansions, upgrading to the Town Hall does not use a deed and does not add town debt. Instead, Fletch provides a construction materials list that must be completed before the upgrade can finish. The required materials appear in the Journal when Track Recipe Requirements is selected. Once the materials have been delivered, the Town Hall is built overnight at no cost beyond the supplied items.

Inside the Town Hall, the player has access to several important services:

• A Crafting Table
• The Donation Box used to pay off the town’s debt
• A Travel Bag that holds 24 items, giving extra storage when starting out
• Sleeping Bags, which can be purchased at any time

The map behind Fletch in the Town Hall is the player’s actual island map, making the building a useful place to check the island layout while planning town development and exploration. The Town Stats Book on the desk was disabled in Summer Sun Update 0.8.0 because it was not functioning correctly.

After the Base Tent has been upgraded, Fletch also offers a Town Hall Deed. This deed is used to move the Town Hall and becomes available only after the upgrade is complete. It is a move deed, so no resources are required to obtain or use it.
