Salon Deed

Sally's Salon is a town building run by Sally that lets the player change their hair style, hair colour, and, once Sally is a permanent resident, facial features. It also adds an accessory service, allowing certain cosmetic items to be equipped in a special hidden head slot. The salon is part of Sally’s move-in progression, so it becomes available only after she has been invited to live in town.

To obtain the salon deed, speak to Fletch and choose the town-related dialogue once Sally is ready to move in. Fletch gives the deed so the player can choose the build site. After placing the deed, the required building materials must be deposited into the build-site box before construction can begin. The salon is completed overnight and becomes available the next day. A new deed cannot be applied for until all town debt has been paid in full at the donation box in the Base Tent Deed or Town Hall.

Once built, Sally offers several cosmetic services:

• Change hair styles.
• Change hair colours.
• Change facial features by using the mirror behind the chair.
• Add or remove select accessories that Sally considers fashionable.

The salon chair is used for hair services, while the mirror is used for appearance edits. The mirror interface is divided into three tabs: skin tone; eye shape, eyebrow, and eye colour; and nose shape and lip shape. Changing the look in the mirror is free. If the player wants both a new hair style and a new hair colour, both services must be paid for separately. Closing the menu before confirming does not charge the player.

The accessory feature is especially useful for cosmetic customization, since it unlocks an extra hidden head slot for items such as jewellery, facial hair, and other small facial accessories. Selecting the accessory option while talking to Sally lets the player equip one of these items or remove the current one. Any removed accessory is returned to the inventory.

Sally's Salon is one of the island’s more important late-town amenities because it expands character customization beyond the basic starting options. Sally can begin visiting the Visitors Site after five permanent residents have moved onto the island, and her move-in request becomes available once her relationship with the player is high enough.
