Sally

Sally is an NPC who visits the island and can move in as a permanent resident. She is a hairstylist, and after she settles in she runs Sally’s Salon, where she offers appearance changes for the player. When you first meet her, she introduces herself as a new hairstylist and says she is happy to give haircuts as practice.

Sally starts visiting only after the island has 5 permanent residents. Once she is available, she can eventually ask to move in after the player has built up enough friendship with her. Her salon is open from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and is closed on Sundays. The salon also has a mirror, which is part of the appearance-changing service.

Her dialogue strongly reflects her role as a barber and general town resident. She often talks about hair, styling, and trying new looks, and she treats hair as something the player can always change later, so there is little risk in experimenting. She also comments on a variety of island life topics, including farming, fishing, visiting the ocean, and the Visitor Site.

A few practical notes about Sally and her services:

• She is the island’s dedicated appearance-change NPC.
• Her salon must be visited during opening hours; she is unavailable on Sundays.
• She can be approached like other residents for friendly chat, and her relationship progresses through normal interaction and hangout systems.
• After reaching 2 or more relationship hearts with an NPC, the “Let’s hang out!” option unlocks for that NPC, including Sally.
• She can also give random daily-style conversations and small requests, including food requests.

Sally’s dialogue includes several useful gameplay reminders and hints. She talks about filling a Watering Can at a fountain or well, burning Spinifex Tuft in a campfire to make crafting material, using a Row Boat to fish in deep ocean waters, and crushing stones or shiny stones in a Stone Grinder for useful materials. She also comments on Queen Bees, Bush Devils, lightning that can leave a thunder egg, and pearls found while diving.

Overall, Sally is one of the island’s most important service NPCs if you want to customize your character’s appearance. Once she becomes a resident, her salon gives players a convenient way to change their look while also adding another friendly town character with plenty of general-life advice and conversation.
