Julia

Julia is an NPC who visits the Island to run the Bug Catching Comp. She appears at the Visitors Site only after the Museum Deed has been built and Theodore has moved in, and she comes on the 15th of Spring and the 15th of Autumn. During her visit, the Bug Catching Competition runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Julia’s store is open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. She sells the Comp Bug Net, and once you have registered for the competition, she will buy Bugs from you for 2.5 times their normal price. This makes her visit the best time to cash in on insects you have collected, especially if you have been saving rarer bugs for the event.

• Julia has no food likes or dislikes.
• Her tent appears at the Visitors Site during the Bug Catching Comp.
• To unlock her visit, the Museum must be completed and Theodore must already be living on the island.
• The competition is only available during her scheduled visits on Spring 15 and Autumn 15.

Julia is mainly useful as the event host and as a temporary buyer for Bugs. If you plan to take advantage of the boosted selling price, it is worth gathering insects ahead of time and making sure you register for the Comp before selling them.
