Animal Shop Deed

Irwin's Barn is the animal shop run by Irwin. Once he has moved into town, it sells farm animals and the supplies needed to care for them, and it also unlocks additional animal-related recipes through licences. Irwin appears at the Visitors Site after the player obtains Handling Licence Level 1, which itself becomes available after Farming Licence Level 1.

The barn’s stock includes animal food, milking buckets, animal feeders, shears, animal brushes, and other animal-care items. It also sells whistles for different animals, including the Dog Kennel, Doggo Bowl, Chicken Whistle, Pleep Whistle, Vombat Whistle, and Boaricoot Whistle, with those housing items rotating against one another in stock. Some goods are limited by licence progression: Duff Dust requires Animal Breeding Licence Level 2, and Domesti-Crate requires Trapping Licence Level 2. Irwin provides purchased animals in an Animal Box so the player can safely carry them to their enclosure.

Buying animals from Irwin depends on the player’s licences. Handling Licence Level 1 allows the purchase of Chooks, Level 2 allows Vombats, and Level 3 allows Pleep. Animal Processing Licence Level 1 unlocks Cheese Making for processing Milk, while Level 2 unlocks the Spinning Wheel for processing Wool. Animal Breeding Licence Level 1 unlocks the Egg Incubator for breeding Chooks, and Level 2 allows the purchase of Duff Dust, which is used on male animals to encourage breeding.

Irwin's Barn is obtained through the Animal Shop Deed, which Fletch gives after talking to her about the town once Irwin is ready to move in. The deed can only be applied after all town debt is paid off, and construction begins only when the required materials are placed in the deposit box at the build site. Once construction starts, it takes 2 nights to complete.

The selling price of an animal depends on its happiness meter, so caring for animals properly affects their value. Keeping them clean with the Animal Brush and shearing wool with Shears are part of maintaining a productive farm, while the Milking Bucket is used to collect milk.
