Wish Fountain Deed

The Wish Fountain is a placeable building that lets the player choose a wish for the whole island in exchange for Town Debt. The Wish Fountain Deed is obtained from Fletch, who gives the player the deed so they can decide where to place it. Once the deed is placed, construction does not begin until all required materials are deposited in the build-site box, and the fountain finishes the next night. As with other deeds, all current debt must be paid off in full before another deed can be applied for.

After it is built, the Wish Fountain can be used to set one island-wide wish at a time. The chosen wish takes effect the following day and remains active until a new wish is made. At night, the fountain glows in a color that matches the current wish: green for Bountiful, yellow for Fortuitous, red for Dangerous, blue for Peaceful, and pink or purple for Spotless.

The available wishes are:

• Bountiful Wish: fish and bugs become more common, and rare sparkling fish and bugs can appear.
• Fortuitous Wish: luck is increased, making rare events more common, including rare diggos, meteorite showers, and thunder eggs.
• Dangerous Wish: enemy attacks become twice as strong, but enemies also drop twice as many items. Hunters may appear more often.
• Peaceful Wish: wild animals will not attack unless provoked, and Hunters will not visit the island.
• Regretful Wish: returns things to normal as if no wish had been made.
• Spotless Wish: keeps the island tidy by preventing animals from leaving droppings, and wild animals will not appear on pathing or mowed grass.

Some wishes also affect Ted Selly’s visits. With Peaceful Wish active, he will not come to the island. With Dangerous Wish active, he is more likely to appear after 3 PM on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Making a wish at the fountain also grants the Well-Wisher milestone.

The fountain does not change treasure chest loot tables. Its effect is limited to the island state and related encounters, so it is best used to suit your current goals, whether that means easier hunting, better rare spawns, or a calmer island.
