Signwriting Pen

The Signwriting Pen is a tool used to add custom text to compatible signs and plaques. It is crafted at the Signwriting Table after obtaining Sign Writing Licence Level 1 from Fletch, and it is part of the sign customization system introduced for player-made labels and direction signs.

When writing text, the pen supports any text color through the use of a color code or hex code. The code counts toward the sign’s 30-character text limit, and if it is entered correctly, it disappears and the next word typed will appear in that color. On larger signs, separate lines can be created by using a line-break code, allowing more flexible layouts for longer messages.

Several of these are written through the Signwriting Table and require Sign Writing Licence Level 1 or Level 2, while some entrance signs are crafted from blueprints at a Crafting Table. This makes the Signwriting Pen especially useful for organizing storage, marking destinations, and creating custom signage around town or on a farm.
