Giant Shell

The Giant Shell is a beach item that can be found as a random drop when picking up Shells by hand or using a Har-Vac on them. It is part of the normal shoreline shell gathering loop, and unlike ordinary shell pickups, it is not just a simple collectible.

If a Giant Shell is broken by throwing it or striking it with a weapon or tool, it shatters and leaves a Mud Crab behind to be picked up. This makes it different from other shell finds, since handling it carelessly can turn the pickup into a creature encounter instead of a reward.
