Hard Wood Log

Overview
Hard Wood Log is a wood resource obtained from specific trees in the wild. It is collected by chopping down Blackwood Trees in the Bushlands near a Billabong, or Pine Trees in the Pine Forest. As a hardwood material, it sits above common wood in usefulness and is primarily part of the game’s construction and crafting progression.
The log can be processed into planks efficiently. One log can be turned into one plank in 2 seconds, and batches of 10 logs can be processed into 10 planks in 10 seconds, which keeps the conversion rate at one second per plank when done in bulk. This makes it practical to stockpile logs before running them through processing, especially when larger building projects call for repeated plank use.
Hard Wood Log can also be sold for Dinks, giving it some value even if you do not need the material immediately.
- Harvest it from Blackwood Trees in the Bushlands or Pine Trees in the Pine Forest.
- Convert it into planks for building and crafting when you need a more processed material.
- Batch processing is faster for large quantities, since the log-to-plank ratio stays the same while saving time on repeated single conversions.
- If you have excess logs, selling them provides a small source of income.
