Nails

Nails are a basic crafting material in Dinkum, primarily used as a construction component in a wide range of building and deed recipes. They are one of the early-game materials that quickly become important once town development and house expansion begin.

The Nails recipe is unlocked by completing a quest from Fletch at the start of the game. Crafting the recipe produces 8 Nails at a time. Nails can also be found as possible loot from the Gacha Machine.

Nails are consumed by many different structures and town projects, including several of Fletch’s deeds and house upgrades. Some deeds list Nails among the required building materials once placed, while others only display the item without needing it. They are also used in multiple construction recipes that take effect overnight or over several nights, so keeping a steady supply on hand is useful if you plan to expand buildings often.
