Night Swarm

Overview
Night Swarm is the second Incursion Boss. It appears after completing the Graveyard Incursion, or can be summoned with a Swarm Signal while inside the Incursion.
The Night Swarm is made up of fast-moving bats that repeatedly shift through intricate attack patterns while trying to hit the player. Each bat has 4600 HP, and the swarm can be thinned out by defeating individual bats. As the fight continues and the swarm loses health, the bats begin moving faster, making the later part of the encounter more dangerous.
Because the bats often cluster together, weapons with strong burst damage and multiple-target potential are especially effective when timed well. The Crimson Sky is a strong example for this kind of damage window. A homing weapon is also useful for cleaning up the remaining bats after the swarm has been broken apart.
Its patterns include:
- Splitting into two groups and moving in a very tight circle.
- Splitting into three groups that form a triangle before all three groups charge toward the center.
- Splitting into very small groups that attack in a grid-like pattern.
- Forming a circle around the target and launching one bat at a time; striking these bats knocks them back.
The fight rewards patience and timing. Waiting for the swarm to bunch up before committing a heavy attack can deal far more damage than trying to pick off individual bats too early.
