Dungeon Trap
Overview
The Dungeon trap is a trap object found in the Dungeon that fires an arrow when triggered. It is one of the environmental defenses used to protect dungeon corridors and rooms, and it can be interacted with using Wiring tools and items.
When wired, the trap can be integrated into a larger security setup or activated on a controlled signal instead of only by direct trigger. It has a range of 13 tiles and a cooldown of 20 ticks, which is equal to 1 second. This makes it a fast, repeating hazard rather than a one-time trap.
Because it deals damage from a distance, the Dungeon trap is useful both as a threat to players exploring the Dungeon and as a building block for player-made defenses. When encountering one, keep distance and watch for possible trigger lines in the surrounding area. When using one yourself, place it where enemies are forced to pass through its firing lane so its limited range is not wasted.
