Overview

Liquid Carbon is the molten form of Refined Carbon, produced by heating either Refined Carbon or Diamond to extreme temperatures. It appears when these solids are raised to 4329.85°C or 3929.85°C respectively, which is 3°C above their melting points. As with other high-temperature elements, any setup intended to create or move Liquid Carbon must be able to survive the heat involved.

In practice, Liquid Carbon is notable less for early-game use and more as an end-stage byproduct of processing already advanced materials. Since Refined Carbon itself has the highest melting point of any solid material and cannot be used for construction, Liquid Carbon sits even further beyond ordinary building and logistics concerns. Producing it from Diamond also ties it to the same extreme-temperature industrial chain that includes very hot materials and specialized heat handling.
