Mimillet

Mimillet is a seed item that can be found in the Garden Biome as a wild plant drop and may also appear from Supply Pods when that option is enabled. It is edible in the sense that it is a food ingredient, but it cannot be eaten raw. Instead, it must be cooked to become usable as a meal.

A single Mimillet can be cooked at an Electric Grill into a lightly toasted dish worth 1,500 kcal with +1 Food Quality. This makes it a simple early food option if you have a grill available, though its value is modest compared with more advanced cooking chains.

Mimillet also has a few non-food uses and interactions tied to its seed form:

• It can be fed to Pacus to help domesticate them, and they will excrete Polluted Dirt.
• Like other seed items, it can be used for this purpose directly without being processed first.
• Because it is a plant seed, it can be recovered from wild plants rather than requiring farming first.

In terms of acquisition, wild Mimillet plants in the Garden Biome can be harvested for seeds. When a mature plant is removed, it drops one Mimillet seed. If left to mature, the plant can release Mimillet-related critters, and when those die they also drop a seed, making mature wild growth a steady source of Mimillet. Supply Pods can provide additional seeds if that option is enabled.

Mimillet is best thought of as an early utility food item: it can be turned into a small cooked meal, used as Pacu bait, and collected from natural growth in suitable biomes. Its main advantage is accessibility rather than nutritional efficiency.
