Sliding Handle

Slides around with ease.
Overview
Sliding Handle is a relic item found through several scavenging methods rather than crafted directly. It can appear when breaking Old Barrels or Wheelie Bins, and it can also be dug up as treasure while Metal Detecting. In some cases, it may also be obtained from a Crab Pot, with the result depending on the biome where the pot is placed.
Because it is a relic, its main role is as a sellable collectible. John buys relics, but since the Anniversary Update 0.7.5 he pays less for them, so Sliding Handle is no longer as lucrative a find as it once was.
- Check Old Barrels and Wheelie Bins whenever you are clearing an area, since both can drop Sliding Handle.
- Metal Detecting is a reliable way to find relics in general, and buried treasure can include this item.
- Crab Pots can produce it as a biome-dependent result, so placing them in different biomes can affect what you receive.
- If you are collecting relics for profit, keep in mind that John’s reduced relic payout makes this more of a collection item than a major money source.
