Advanced Cliff Crusher

Crushes walls, outputting sand indefinitely. Requires power and hydrogen. Efficiency varies based on type of wall. Optionally consumes graphite to increase efficiency.
Overview
The Advanced Cliff Crusher is a large extractor block specialized for quarrying cliff and wall tiles. It functions as a high-throughput extractor in late-game setups, trading a bulky input requirement for significantly increased extraction rates per tile and a high maximum output when operating across multiple adjacent tiles. It cannot harvest certain fortified wall types and some environmental walls, so placement and target selection are important.
The Advanced Cliff Crusher's per-tile extraction rates vary by tile hardness and can be boosted by supplying a booster item. Base per-tile rates range from 0.62/sec up to 2.5/sec, and supplying a booster raises per-tile throughput into the range 1/sec to 4/sec. The block's aggregate maximum output across its working area ranges from 1.88/sec up to 7.5/sec without a booster, and up to 3/sec to 12/sec when boosted. The block requires an input of 60/sec (primary input) and 1/sec (secondary input) as shown on its cost/consumption panel. The booster consumption rate is 0.75/sec and applying that booster multiplies the crusher's speed by 1.6x.
The Advanced Cliff Crusher cannot extract
Sand from Arkyic Walls, Graphite Walls, or Crystalline Stone Walls, nor from most environmental walls on the Serpulo map, so those wall types must be dealt with by other means or bypassed.
- Place Advanced Cliff Crushers over contiguous cliff/wall tiles to take advantage of their high maximum throughput; they scale with the number of tiles in range.
- Supplying the booster item is the only extractor-specific boost mechanic of its kind; feeding the booster continuously yields a sustained 1.6× speed increase and raises both per-tile and maximum rates.
- Ensure your logistics can absorb the high aggregate output and satisfy the block’s substantial input requirements; power and item supply must be stable to avoid throughput loss.
- Avoid targeting wall types listed above, as the crusher will not yield Sand from those materials and thus will be inefficient or unusable on those tiles.
