Protects structures from enemy projectiles, reflecting most bullets upon impact. Deploys a shield that absorbs most projectiles when power is provided. Conducts power.

Overview

Shielded Wall is a defensive building that protects adjacent friendly structures by projecting a force field which absorbs incoming artillery and most projectiles when the block is powered. The wall covers a 2x2 footprint and conducts power to adjacent blocks. It functions as both a physical wall and an active shield generator, combining large structural HP with a separate energy shield layer.

The shield has 900 capacity, requires 3 power per second to operate, has a 10 second cooldown after depletion, and regenerates at 120 per second while powered. Because the block itself spans four tiles, its combined structural health when fully repaired is 5060, yielding an effective health-per-tile value of 1265, the highest of all blocks on a per-tile basis. The force field behavior mirrors that of the Force Projector: absorbed projectiles count as single-target hits for the shield’s damage handling. Unit missiles are an exception to the single-target absorption rule and deal damage to the shield normally. Shielded Wall interacts with deflection mechanics used by phase walls and force projectors, and its shield will participate in those interactions.

Practical notes for placement and use:

  • Place Shielded Walls in front of high-value buildings (factories, core, turrets) to intercept artillery and chunked projectiles before they hit structures.
  • Because it conducts power, arrange power networks so the Shielded Wall can both draw its 3/s and pass electricity to neighboring blocks without separate power lines.
  • The shield cooldown and regeneration mean the wall can repeatedly soak bursts of incoming fire; manage encounters with sustained missile volleys carefully since unit missiles bypass shield absorption rules.
  • Its 2x2 size and lack of a 1x1 variant make it best used as a planned defensive element rather than quick patching; the block is one of the few wall types without a single-tile version.
  • Shielded Wall’s design is based on the classic Shielded Wall concept from earlier builds, which historically existed as a 1x1 form; the modern implementation retains the shield mechanics but in a 2x2 footprint.

Combined structural bulk, active shielding, and power conduction make Shielded Wall a cornerstone of high-tier base defense when arranged and powered correctly.
