Mud

Overview
Mud is a block-type resource introduced in version 3.0 of the game. It functioned as a craftable and extractable material that interacted with several production and utility systems before being removed in a later update.
Mud existed as part of the mid-era content set and was affected by multiple major balance and design overhauls during the game's development.
A large rework in Build 41 significantly changed how
Mud was produced, obtained, and used. After that rework,
Mud's lifecycle involved explicit manufacture and extraction routes, required or interacted with power systems, and had at least one use as ammunition for another entity. The rework altered recipes and the ways players could generate or harvest
Mud compared to its initial implementation. In Build 64
Mud was removed from the game.
Practical notes and high-level behavior:
- Timeline: introduced in 3.0, substantially reworked in Build 41, removed in Build 64.
- Production and acquisition: post-rework
Mud was both craftable and extractable; its acquisition involved specific production chains and extraction mechanics (details of those recipes and extractors were changed during the Build 41 revision). - Utility: the reworked
Mud interacted with power systems and had at least one ammunition use, indicating it served both as a resource input and as a consumable for weapons or devices. - Removal:
Mud no longer exists in the live game as of Build 64; its functions and place in development were subject to replacement or consolidation in subsequent content adjustments.
Because available documentation for the entity is limited and some implementation details were changed or later removed, consult current game build notes and in-game tooltips for the most up-to-date information about any resource that replaced or subsumed
Mud's previous roles.
