Multiplicative Reconstructor

Upgrades inputted units to the third tier.
Overview
The Multiplicative Reconstructor is a block-class entity introduced in Mindustry in Version 6.0. It functions as a reconstructive station with a multiplicative storage characteristic: it always holds double the amount of items that are input into it. The block appears as part of the factory/reconstruction family of structures and is categorized under blocks (id=mdy.term.block_multiplicative_reconstructor).
Because of its built-in multiplicative storage behavior, the Multiplicative Reconstructor changes how incoming materials are buffered and made available for subsequent processes. Its behavior was explicitly noted in community documentation as always holding twice whatever item quantity is supplied, so pipelines and item routing should take that effective doubling into account when balancing supply chains or planning downstream consumption.
The block has received a small number of versioned changes in the game lifecycle. It was added in Version 6.0. In Version 7.0 (Build 127) an upgrade interaction was added allowing

Practical notes and usage considerations:
- The built-in doubling of held items affects storage calculations: expect the block to report or contain twice the count of items that were fed into it, which can be used to smooth supply surges or to temporarily inflate available material counts for mechanics that check stored quantities.
- The increased health to 1200 makes it more suitable for placement nearer contested zones than before, but it remains susceptible to focused enemy fire and should be protected with turrets or armor when used on the front line.
- The block participates in upgrade chains introduced in later updates; in particular, it enables an upgrade path for Oxynoe into Cyerce as of 7.0 Build 127. Plan upgrade logistics and resource flows accordingly if you intend to use that transformation.
- When designing conveyor and sorter layouts, account for its multiplicative holding behavior to avoid underflow or oversupply in downstream consumers. Because the block's effective stored quantity is doubled relative to input, upstream input rates may be adjusted to match intended steady-state output.
- Use the Multiplicative Reconstructor where a brief multiplicative buffer is advantageous—either to rapidly meet a short-term demand spike or to present increased stored quantities for systems that pull from block storage.
No complete recipe table for outputs was provided in the available sources; community documentation notes the doubling behavior and the historical version changes described above.
