Interior Hatch
Overview
Interior Hatch is a hatch used for getting in and out of a rocket. It serves as the access point that lets the crew enter the rocket and leave it again, making it the basic doorway between the rocket interior and the outside.
As its name implies, the building is intended for use inside a rocket setup rather than as a general-purpose base building. Its role is purely functional: it provides a controlled passage for boarding and disembarking. In practice, that means it is part of the rocket’s movement and access structure, and it is the piece that enables a rocket to be entered or exited without treating the interior as sealed off permanently.
- It is a rocket access hatch.
- It is used for both entering and leaving the rocket.
- Its purpose is limited to providing passage; it is not described as a storage, power, or production building.
- It is one of the structural parts that makes the rocket usable as an enclosed space with an entrance and exit.
Because it is tied specifically to rocket access, Interior Hatch is most relevant when setting up a rocket that needs crew passage. Without it, the rocket would not have a normal way to board or disembark through the interior route described by the building.
