Oxygen Mask Checkpoint

Oxygen Mask Checkpoint is a utility building used with Oxygen Mask Docks to manage the distribution of Oxygen Masks. It is part of the post-rework oxygen mask system, where the old all-in-one Oxygen Mask Station was split into separate buildings for crafting, storage, and access control. The checkpoint works together with a matching dock, and the pair must be arranged so the dock is built on the opposite side from the direction the checkpoint’s arrow faces.

In practical use, the checkpoint acts as the entry point for a mask system and determines how duplicants interact with the connected dock. Because it must have a correlating dock built behind the arrow direction, placement matters more than with many other buildings. A checkpoint without a properly paired dock is incomplete and cannot serve its role in the mask setup.

• Build the checkpoint and the matching dock as a pair.
• Place the dock on the side opposite the arrow’s direction.
• Use it as part of a dedicated Oxygen Mask setup rather than as a standalone building.
• The old Oxygen Mask Station no longer fills all of these functions; those responsibilities are now split between the Crafting Station, Oxygen Mask Dock, and Oxygen Mask Checkpoint.

Historically, Oxygen Masks were made and distributed by Oxygen Mask Stations. That single building has since been replaced by the separate system above, with the checkpoint handling the access/control side of the arrangement and the dock handling mask storage and distribution.
