Monument Midsection
Overview
Monument Midsection is the stackable center section of the Great Monument. Like the other customizable monument pieces, it can be mixed and matched with different exterior combinations, letting players assemble the full structure in whatever arrangement they want.
Because the building’s material cannot be chosen directly, its effective overheat temperature and decor are fixed by the materials used in construction. With steel and ceramic in the recipe, the Monument Midsection ends up with an actual overheat temperature of 2400 °C and a base decor of +12. Its melting point is determined by ceramic; if the section melts, any plastic and steel in it are converted into magma of the corresponding mass.
Once the Great Monument is completed, the Monument Midsection’s decor is adjusted to +48 and its decor radius becomes 10. In the decor overlay, its display name changes to Great Monument, since the midsection represents the completed monument as a whole.
A few interaction details matter when disassembling it:
- If the Monument Base is removed first, the midsection reverts to its normal decor and radius values.
- If the Monument Top is removed first, the midsection keeps the completed monument’s decor and radius values, and only the decor overlay name returns to Monument Midsection.
- After removing the top first, later removing the base does not change those restored values.
