Cartographic Module

Overview

Cartographic Module is a rocket module in Spaced Out that lets Duplicants boldly go where other Duplicants have not yet been. It is a cartography-focused exploration module built for rockets, and it functions automatically without requiring power.

Despite its large telescope-like appearance, Cartographic Module does not reveal a wide area around the rocket. It only reveals the space occupied by the rocket itself, rather than the three-tile reveal radius provided by Telescope. It also takes up 5 tiles of rocket height, which is a significant space cost for such a narrow effect.

  • A rocket fitted with Cartographic Module can continue moving even if its path includes unrevealed space.
  • The module operates automatically and does not need electrical power.
  • Its limited reveal range and large height cost make it much less attractive for general map exploration than Telescope.
