Solo Spacefarer Nosecone

The Solo Spacefarer Nosecone is a rocket nosecone designed for a one-duplicant crew. Its interior gives one lucky Duplicant the best view in the whole rocket, while also providing the basic fluid and gas transfer ports needed to exchange liquids and gases between the rocket and the outside, just like the Spacefarer Module. Because the interior is so small, it is usually used for extremely compact solo launches rather than comfortable long-term habitation.

Space inside the nosecone is at a premium, so planning the layout matters a great deal. Even a few basic comforts can consume most of the available floor space, leaving little room for movement or vertical access. For that reason, many builds push life support and storage to exterior modules and keep the interior focused on only what is essential for travel.

• Before sending Duplicants between planetoids, it is practical to skill-scrub them and reassign only the skills they need, so morale requirements stay manageable.
• Research Rocket Fittings and use gas or liquid cargo tanks to save space while carrying essential life-support materials.
• Deconstruct the Rocket Control Station and place it wherever it fits best in the interior layout.
• A Telescope can be placed beside the bottom-left window to reveal space while voyaging.
• When using only the Solo Spacefarer Nosecone, it is strongly recommended to rely on exterior modules for life support instead of putting it all onboard.
• Essentials such as a Wall Toilet, Fridge, and Rocket Control Station already take up most of the usable interior space, leaving very little room for anything else.
• Instead of ladders, Manual or Mechanized Airlocks are often better for vertical movement. A horizontal airlock placed one tile above the floor lets a Duplicant climb onto it from inside, while a vertical airlock can be climbed from the sides.
• Closed airlocks can support buildings, which helps free up floor space.
• Do not place the Rocket Control Station on top of an airlock, since opening and closing it will send the rocket back to autopilot.
