Wall Pot

The Wall Toilet is a plumbing fixture designed for Spacefarer Module interiors. Unlike a standard toilet, it is mounted on the wall and deposits its waste output on the other side of that wall. It is intended for rockets and other enclosed builds where floor space is limited, and it still satisfies the same room requirements as a normal toilet for spaces such as Lavatories and Hospitals.

A Wall Toilet consumes 2.5 kg of Water per use and produces 9.2 kg of Polluted Water, so it yields more total liquid than it takes in. The output is a mix of the input water’s temperature and newly created Polluted Water at 37°C. Over time, this makes the building useful as a small source of extra water if the Polluted Water can be collected and processed. On average, one Duplicant using a Wall Toilet generates about 11.16 g/s of water or Polluted Water.

Each use also produces 120,000 Food Poisoning germs. These germs are divided between the Duplicant, the Wall Toilet, and the produced Polluted Water. In practice, this means the toilet should be placed where the Polluted Water output can be handled safely, since the output itself is usually the main contamination source.

The Wall Toilet has a special interaction with rocket interiors: if it is attached to the outer wall of a Spacefarer Module or a Solo Spacefarer Nosecone, its output is deleted when it is dumped into space. This happens even when the rocket is landed, so it cannot be used to collect waste in that setup. When placed normally inside a module, however, it functions as a compact way to provide sanitation without sacrificing floor space.

Its main advantages are space efficiency and water recovery. Its main drawback is that it still requires piped Water input and produces germy Polluted Water, so it works best when paired with a deliberate waste-handling or recycling system.
