Sauna

Sauna is a recreational building that also functions as an efficient heat sink. It takes in steam and outputs water at a fixed 80 °C, regardless of how hot the incoming steam is, making it useful for destroying excess heat in a controlled way. It also produces only a very small amount of heat waste while operating, which makes it comparatively easy to manage on its own.

The building’s output can be paired with a Hot Tub, since the discharged 80 °C water can be routed directly to supply the tub and still help cool the water further. This makes Sauna especially useful in setups that want both heat removal and recreational support from the same water loop.

• Sauna has a priority of 3. Duplicants will prefer recreational buildings with a higher priority.
• Its own heat production is low, at 500 heat/second, which reduces the burden on surrounding cooling or insulation.
• Because the water output is fixed, it is a reliable way to turn very hot steam into manageable hot water rather than letting the temperature keep climbing.
