Electrum

Electrum is an element that can be processed into gold. It is a very soft material with a hardness of 2, and when heated to 1063.9 °C it melts into Liquid Gold without losing mass. Because it behaves like a material rather than a refined product, it can be moved and stored like other solid resources before being used in production.

Electrum has two main industrial uses: it can be delivered to a Rock Crusher to produce 50 kg of Gold and 50 kg of Sand, or sent to a Metal Refinery to produce 100 kg of Gold. Since it contains no mass loss when melted, it is also useful as a source of molten gold if you need liquid metal handling instead of direct refining. It can be run through wall and floor tiles, which makes it easier to route through insulated layouts or across vertical shafts.
