Overview

Solid Carbon Dioxide is a rocket fuel material used in rocket infrastructure. It is automatically linked when built beside a Rocket Platform or another Rocket Port, which makes it a convenient component for arranging compatible rocket setups without extra player micromanagement. It also uses the built-in solid material filters, so it behaves like other solid materials in storage and selection interfaces.

Its main use is tied to rocket assembly and logistics rather than everyday colony production. Because it is handled as a solid material, it can be managed through the same supply and filtering tools used for other construction and storage resources, which makes it straightforward to keep it available near launch sites.

Solid Carbon Dioxide can be obtained from several asteroid types on the star map. In one set of maps, it is available from Ice, Salt, Oxidized, and Frozen Giant asteroids. In another set of maps, it is available from Ice Asteroid Fields, Exploding Frozen Giant asteroids, Oil Asteroid Fields, Oxidized Asteroid Fields, and Salt Asteroid Fields. The listed renewal rates are 378–1134, 108–324, 116.3–387.5, 108–324, and 54–162 kg/cycle respectively, depending on the source and map type.

Practical notes:

  • Place it adjacent to a Rocket Platform or Rocket Port to take advantage of its automatic connection behavior.
  • Use the built-in solid material filters to keep rocket-related supplies organized.
  • Since its availability is map-dependent, it is best treated as a resource to be gathered where the star map provides it rather than a universally farmable material.
  • The wide range of renewal rates means some asteroid sources are far more productive than others, so route planning matters if you rely on it regularly.
