Pacu Fillet

Pacu Fillet is a food item obtained from Pacu. It is the raw seafood dropped when a Pacu dies, and both juvenile and adult Pacu drop the same amount. The fillet is a basic ranching product rather than a crafted material, so it is usually collected as part of managing a Pacu population or harvesting surplus fish.

As a food source, Pacu Fillet can be eaten directly or processed in the Electric Grill into Cooked Seafood. It can also be cooked in the Smoker into Smoked Fish, giving it an additional late-game processing option if a Smoker is available. Because it comes from a critter, it fits naturally into fishing and ranching setups that are already maintaining Pacu for renewable seafood production.

A few practical notes make Pacu Fillet more useful:

• Pacu Fillet counts as meat for the EAT_MEAT achievement, so eating it contributes to that requirement.
• Since juvenile and adult Pacu drop the same amount, keeping Pacu alive longer does not improve the fillet yield from a single death.
• Pacu are commonly used in ranches built around controlled liquid and egg sorting, so Pacu Fillet is often the byproduct of a larger Pacu farming system rather than the main goal by itself.
• If you are already producing Pacu for egg cycling or population management, the fillets provide an easy food reserve without needing crop farming or complex processing.

Because Pacu Fillet is tied to a critter source, its availability depends on how well the Pacu population is maintained. A stable Pacu setup can turn excess fish into a steady supply of seafood, while poorly managed ranches may waste that potential by letting the population collapse.
