Localization Guide: Language Support & Legal Setup

Localization covers how in-game text, UI, and region-specific settings are presented to players of TBH: Task Bar Hero and what that means for play, privacy, and support.

What localization includes

  • Translated in-game strings: menus, tooltips, tutorial text, quest descriptions, item/building names, and achievement text are localized per supported language.
  • Region-specific UI and store presentation: platform storefronts (e.g., iOS, Android, Steam, Epic) and in-game purchase labels reflect local currency and formatting.
  • Legal and privacy notices: region-required notices (privacy policy summaries, rights under GDPR/CCPA, children’s privacy statements) are presented in appropriate locales.
  • Customer support and official sites: links and FAQ pages are localized.

Languages and platforms

  • TBH: Task Bar Hero provides localized builds for the major target languages used by the player base. Supported platforms include mobile (iOS, Android) and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). The official site and FAQs are localized where available.

UI and formatting rules

  • Localized builds use native number, date, and currency formats for the player’s region.
  • Proper nouns (item and building names) are preserved per each localization; the game uses the localized proper names instead of translating them back to English.
  • Tutorial and help text are localized to avoid ambiguity—expect fully localized tooltips for core gameplay functions.
  • Privacy language is localized and includes:
    • A statement that the Site is not directed at children under 13 and that the game does not knowingly collect children’s data.
    • Notices describing the purposes for which personal information is used (for example: name and email collected when leaving comments or contacting support are used only to respond to those comments/requests).
    • Information about user rights where applicable: players in jurisdictions with data-protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) are informed they may have rights to access or delete personal data held by hosting providers; instructions indicate contacting the relevant provider or local authority for provider-held data.
  • Contact and provider details for data requests are presented for the user’s region.

Customer support, FAQ, and content moderation

  • Official FAQs and support pages are available in localized versions and include region-appropriate guidance.
  • Moderation or content edits (for example, removal of community-submitted or joke entries) are reflected in localized pages; moderation actions may differ by locale to comply with local rules or preferences.

Best practices for players and creators

  • Players: check the localized FAQ and privacy pages for your region to learn about data rights and how to request deletion or access to provider-held data.
  • Content creators/localizers: keep proper nouns consistent across translations and preserve unique entity names exactly as provided for that language; match tone and instructive clarity in tutorials to the target locale.
  • Moderators: when editing or removing localized community content, document the reason in the localized language so affected users can understand and appeal if needed.

Notes on updates and regional differences

  • New content releases or DLC may roll out differently by region and platform; localized text may appear after the initial release on some storefronts.
  • Where legal or platform requirements differ between regions, the localized pages and in-game notices will reflect those differences (for example, additional consent flows or help links).

This localization framework ensures players worldwide receive clear, legally compliant, and culturally appropriate text, UI, and support when playing TBH: Task Bar Hero.
