Wooden Crate

The Wooden Crate is a storage container that becomes available after completing the Smelting Ore task from Fletch. Once learned, it can be crafted and used as a compact early storage option for keeping items organized at home or at a worksite.

It provides 24 slots for storing items, which makes it useful for sorting materials before upgrading to larger storage solutions. The crate can be placed on the ground both indoors and outdoors, including inside player and guest houses, so it fits well in workshops, sheds, or room-based storage setups. Its appearance can also be customized with Paint, and Paint Remover restores it to its original look.

A few practical notes make it especially convenient:

• It can be moved with the Hand Trolley even when it contains items, which is helpful when reorganizing a base without emptying every container first.
• While inside a storage container, the Organize button sorts items by category first, then alphabetically, making it easier to keep materials grouped together.
• The crate supports multiple colour variants, including Yellow, White, Red, Purple, Pink, Orange, Gold, Green, Chrome, Black, and Blue.

The Wooden Crate is best used as flexible general-purpose storage. Its moderate capacity and easy placement make it a good choice for early and mid-game organization, especially when you want containers that can be painted to match a room or moved around as your layout changes.
