When two or more Canvases are placed adjacent with matching edges, the border on touching sides is removed so the individual 12×12 images visually merge into a continuous larger image. This makes planning tile placement important for large murals.
History and notable changes:
- The Erekir
Canvas was introduced in Version 7.0 (build 146). In that update its silicon cost was reduced from 30 to 10.
- A
Canvas-like painting block also existed in earlier mainline builds (introduced around 3.0) and was later removed in build 64; the Erekir
Canvas represents a reintroduced or separate implementation on the Erekir platform.
Practical notes for use:
- Plan artwork on a grid to take advantage of tiling; align canvases precisely for seamless images.
- Use the bucket fill to rapidly recolor large regions; use the hide-grid option to preview the final look without grid lines.
- Canvases are decorative only; they do not provide production, power, or combat functions.
