Goblin

Overview
Goblins are one of the first monsters the player will encounter. They appear only in Forest Caves, making them an early cave enemy rather than a surface threat. As one of the earliest hostile mobs, they serve as a basic introduction to underground combat and enemy pursuit behavior.
Goblins use melee attacks. They patrol their area until they spot a player, then switch to chasing the target and attacking once they get into range. Because they rely on close combat, they become dangerous when they are allowed to close the distance, especially in the tighter spaces of cave passages where movement is more restricted.
When dealing with Goblins, the main concern is preventing them from reaching melee range. Their behavior is straightforward, so they are easy to read, but they can still pressure an unprepared player by forcing repeated close-quarters engagements. In Forest Caves, expect them as a common early encounter and treat them as a baseline for how hostile creatures behave underground.
