Gas Rocket Port Loader

Overview

Gas Rocket Port Loader is a Rocket Port building used to transfer gases between a landed rocket and its connected storage or pipe network. It only functions when the rocket is on the ground; rockets must be landed to load or unload resources.

When built beside a Rocket Platform or another Rocket Port, it automatically links to the rocket system. It follows the gas filters configured on the linked Rocket Platform, so only the selected gases are accepted for loading. This makes it part of the standard rocket logistics chain for preparing a rocket before launch or emptying it after return.

In practice, the Gas Rocket Port Loader is most useful when paired with automated gas handling on a launchpad. Since it obeys the platform’s gas filter settings, it can be used to keep unwanted gases out of a rocket’s storage while allowing specific gases to be loaded reliably. As with all rocket resource transfer buildings, it does nothing while the rocket is airborne.

It is part of the family of rocket port and cargo-related buildings, alongside the other loader and unloader variants for solids and liquids, as well as the gas cargo canisters and rockets themselves.
