Hydro Switch

Overview

A Hydro Switch shuts off power when the liquid pressure surrounding it surpasses the set threshold. It is a pressure-based control building, letting players use the presence of liquid around the switch as a condition for cutting electrical supply.

Because its trigger depends on the liquid pressure at its location, it is useful anywhere a machine or circuit should stop automatically when submerged or flooded. The switch responds to the surrounding fluid rather than to a manual command, so it functions as an environmental sensor for liquid pressure.

  • The switch turns power off once the nearby liquid pressure exceeds the configured limit.
  • It is controlled by the pressure of the liquid touching or surrounding it, not by the total amount of liquid in the room.
  • By adjusting the threshold, it can be used to create automatic shutdowns for systems that should only run when not submerged.
