Oxylite Sconce

Overview

Oxylite Sconce is a storage-related building that prevents diffused oxygen from being wasted inside storage bins. It acts as a small local oxygen reservoir, allowing nearby storage to capture and hold oxygen rather than letting it dissipate into the surrounding area. In practical terms, it helps keep storage compact and reduces oxygen loss around bin clusters.

Oxylite Sconce automatically requests Oxylite delivery when it is not already assigned a delivery task and its current Oxylite stock falls below 96 kg. The amount requested is based on the difference between its current stock and its maximum capacity of 240 kg, and the delivery task is treated as a supply-and-demand request. Duplicants and Robotic Arms fill it according to the remaining amount still needed by the task, rather than simply topping the building off instantly. Because the Oxylite inside the sconce continues to off-gas while the delivery is being fulfilled, the stored amount at the moment the task completes is usually below maximum.

  • Oxylite Sconce is most useful when placed with storage bins that would otherwise leak oxygen efficiency into the room.
  • It works as a buffer for diffused oxygen, but it does not eliminate the fact that Oxylite continually degrades into oxygen.
  • Since the building requests more Oxylite before reaching empty, it tends to stay stocked without needing constant manual attention.
  • The automatic delivery system means Duplicants or Robotic Arms can service it as part of normal supply logistics.
