Printerceptor

Overview

Printerceptor is a story-relevant building found in prebuilt ruins. Its associated reboot access code is located somewhere on the world, and the building can be restarted for testing once that code is discovered.

Two distinct ruins are associated with Printerceptor. One is a two-story granite-and-window tile room: the lower level contains the Printerceptor itself, a Dead Plant, a Biophysics Research Desk, and a Wall Chart, while the upper level contains a Mini Fridge, another Wall Chart, and a Clock. Three Light Fixtures hang from the ceiling above the room.

The other ruin is a granite room containing a Paper Towel Dispenser, a Mirror, an Enamel Sink, and a Toilet, with a single Light Fixture hanging from the ceiling. The Toilet and Enamel Sink in this ruin are decorative only and do not serve a functional purpose. In some cases, the Toilet ruin can generate beside the Printerceptor, while in others it appears elsewhere.

Because these ruins are set dressing rather than normal base infrastructure, Printerceptor is mainly notable as part of world generation and environmental storytelling. The surrounding objects reinforce the idea that the structure was once part of a maintained facility, but only the access code determines whether it can be rebooted for testing.
