Teleporter Transmitter
Overview
The Teleporter Transmitter is the outgoing side of an ancient teleportation system, a functional remnant of a much larger installation. It has one pre-programmed destination and is used to send Duplicants to the paired Teleporter Receiver. In the Research Note "A Paradox," a Gravitas researcher raises the moral problem of teleportation and suggests that the system may destroy the original subject and create a clone instead.
After assigning a Duplicant to the Teleporter Transmitter, the player must click the Send button; otherwise the Duplicant will wait inside the device indefinitely. Each Duplicant sent through requires the transmitter to recharge for 5 cycles before it can be used again. Clothing and equipment worn by a Duplicant can travel through the transmitter, but other items cannot. For items, the Supply Teleporter Input is used instead.
If teleporters are disabled in the game settings when starting a new game, teleporter ruins still generate, but they do not contain a Teleporter Transmitter or Teleporter Receiver.
