Overview

Plywood is a refined construction material and fuel resource used in a few specific recipes and buildings. It can substitute for some building materials in construction, and when used that way it provides a 50% decor bonus. It is also consumed as fuel by the Wood Heater and Ice Liquefier, and can be used in food processing.

Its main practical value is as a higher-decor construction option rather than a bulk structural material. Because it is used in limited quantities and certain machines consume it directly, Plywood is usually best reserved for the buildings and processes that explicitly benefit from it rather than spent casually on everyday construction.

  • In construction, Plywood can replace part of the material cost for certain buildings while granting a decor bonus.
  • The Wood Heater consumes 25 g/s of Plywood and produces 20 kDTU/s of heat.
  • The Ice Liquefier consumes about 1.16–15.28 kg of Plywood along with 100 kg of input and outputs about 0.16–2.17 kg plus 100 kg of product.
  • In food processing, it is consumed at 100 kg per operation.
  • Because it has direct industrial uses, it is worth keeping Plywood available near the buildings that need it rather than storing it far from production lines.
