Bomb Scarab

Overview
Bomb Scarab is an enemy native to the Desert of Beginnings. It primarily spawns on Desert Block ground placed in that biome, and a sandy whirlwind event can sometimes appear in the Desert and spawn up to five Bomb Scarabs nearby after a few seconds.
Bomb Scarabs attack by charging at the player at high speed, and they can travel over empty space and liquids to reach their target. Their glowing red eyes make them easy to spot from a distance, which is useful because they can close distance quickly once engaged.
When a Bomb Scarab loses 50% of its health, it drops to the ground and explodes shortly after, dealing heavy damage and dropping no loot. The blast breaks small objects and deals 998 mining damage to walls, making them especially dangerous in enclosed areas.
- Reducing a Bomb Scarab to 50% health while it is outside combat range will not make it explode immediately.
- Because they can cross gaps and water, simple terrain barriers are not reliable protection.
- Fighting them in open space gives more room to avoid their charge and their post-damage explosion.
- Their bright red eyes help identify them before they rush in.
