Colossal Amoeba

Overview
The Colossal Amoeba is an enemy native to the Passage. It is unusual among creatures in that it does not rely on a fixed spawning tile; instead, it appears around the player while they are inside the Passage.
As long as the player remains in the Passage, the game attempts to spawn a Colossal Amoeba every 8–10 seconds. This spawning behavior is constrained by nearby population: if there are already more than two Colossal Amoebae within a 50-tile radius of the player, spawning is put on cooldown for 2–5 minutes. Colossal Amoebae also cannot spawn if Urschleim is nearby. If no player is within a 50-tile radius, any Colossal Amoeba will automatically despawn.
These rules make the creature highly dependent on player presence and local density, so encounters can be managed by moving away from the area or by leaving the Passage altogether. Because they spawn in relation to the player rather than from a fixed source, staying mobile changes where they appear, while lingering in one spot can increase the chance of repeated spawns until the nearby cap is reached.
