Caveling Shaman

Overview
The Caveling Shaman is a common enemy native to the Forgotten Ruins. It is one of the Caveling variants encountered there and is notable for its ranged attack, making it more dangerous than many basic melee foes when fought in open spaces.
Caveling Shamans primarily spawn on Stone Moss placed in any biome, so they can appear wherever that block is present rather than being strictly limited to the Forgotten Ruins. Their attack consists of firing a fireball at the player, dealing heavy damage and inflicting burn. Because of this, they are best handled with cover, quick movement, or by closing distance before they can keep firing.
- Their fireball attack can punish players who stand still or fight at long range without shelter.
- The burn effect adds pressure after the hit, so avoiding the projectile is more important than simply absorbing the damage.
- Since they spawn on Stone Moss in any biome, removing or avoiding that block can help reduce unexpected encounters outside the ruins.
