Orbital Turret

The Orbital Turret is a common enemy native to the Shimmering Frontier. It is one of the frontier’s mechanical threats and is notable for its defensive attack pattern, which makes it dangerous even before the player gets close.

Orbital Turrets attack by projecting an indestructible shield and firing a barrage of lasers through it. The shield is not fully closed; there is a vulnerable gap on the opposite end from where the lasers are firing, which is the safest point to approach when engaging one. Their attacks make direct frontal pressure risky, so positioning matters more than raw damage.

• Orbital Turrets primarily spawn on Crystal Crust placed in any biome.
• The shield blocks attacks from the protected side, so circle around to find the open gap before committing to melee.
• Because they fire through their own barrier, staying in front of the turret is the most dangerous position.
• Ranged attacks are easier to use once the vulnerable side is exposed.
