Royal Slime

Overview
The Royal Slime is an enemy summoned by King Slime during battle. It was added as part of the Terraria crossover and functions as one of the main threats created by the boss rather than as a naturally occurring creature.
Royal Slimes appear when King Slime is attacked, and they automatically despawn 60 seconds after being summoned. They use the same hit and death sounds as their Terraria counterparts instead of the usual slime audio. In combat, they behave similarly to Orange Slimes, with comparable AI and hop distance, but they are far more dangerous because they deal significantly more damage.
- Royal Slimes can often be avoided by sidestepping when they jump, just as with Orange Slimes.
- Their damage output is much higher, so a safe dodge that works on normal slimes is much less forgiving here.
- Axes and ranged weapons are especially effective against groups of Royal Slimes, since they let you hit multiple targets while staying out of melee range.
- Their alternate attacks are useful for clearing swarms while maintaining distance.
- During a King Slime fight, keeping the number of Royal Slimes on the field low is important, since they can quickly overwhelm you while you are focused on the boss.
Because they are temporary summons, the main goal is usually not to outlast them, but to control their numbers and clear them efficiently while continuing pressure on King Slime. Managing spacing and prioritizing crowd control makes the encounter much safer, especially once multiple Royal Slimes are active at once.
