Gold Pocket Watch

The Gold Pocket Watch is a tool used to rapidly advance time in Dinkum. It can be purchased on Jimmy’s Boat for permit points, and the purchase is limited to once per visit. Its main use is to speed up the in-game clock, making it useful when waiting for shops to open, when trying to line up NPC schedules, or when you simply want time to pass more quickly.

To use it, place the Gold Pocket Watch on the toolbelt, equip it, and left click. The time display in the top-right corner will begin advancing faster, and a visual >> indicator appears next to the time to show that fast forward is active. Left click again to stop the effect.

A few important limitations apply:

• It does not speed up machinery, farming production, or any other ongoing processes. It only advances the passage of time.
• It does not work in the Mines or on the Island Reef.
• Because it only affects time, it is best used when you want to wait out a schedule rather than to improve production efficiency.

The Gold Pocket Watch is therefore a convenience item rather than a productivity tool. It is especially handy for players who want to move through the day quickly without sleeping or manually waiting, but its benefits are purely tied to time progression.
