Secateurs

The Secateurs are a farming and gardening tool that can be purchased from Plant Shop Deed after obtaining Farming Licence Level 1 from Fletch. They are used to snip plants from gardening beds without accidentally picking up the bed or planter itself, making them the safe tool for harvesting decorative and farmed plant items.

Using Secateurs lets the player collect flowers and other small grown items from flower beds and planters while leaving the container intact. This makes them especially useful for maintaining organized garden setups, since the beds can keep being used after harvesting. Items that can be collected this way include coral, spinifex tufts, and flowers.

In practice, Secateurs are the tool to use whenever a plant is growing in a place you want to preserve. Instead of risking removal of the entire bed or planter, they cleanly harvest the contents. This is particularly valuable for decorative builds and managed gardens, where the structure of the planting area matters as much as the crop itself.
