Depot Mk.II

Overview
Depot Mk.II is a mid-game storage building in Dyson Sphere Program that provides configurable item storage. Its storage capacity can be adjusted with the slider in the UI after opening it, making it useful as a flexible buffer rather than a fixed-capacity container. Like Depot Mk.I, it belongs to the logistics family of buildings and is sometimes described as a storage chest in comparison to similar systems in other games.
It is especially useful when you want to move items between belts and drones without relying on sorter throughput. Items can be inserted into the depot using

Depot Mk.II also interacts with other logistics structures in a way that supports layered setups. A

In practice, Depot Mk.II is best used where temporary buffering or sorting support is needed, especially in production lines that frequently need items handed off to Logistics Bots. Because its storage amount is adjustable, it can be tuned to match the needs of a specific line instead of occupying more space than necessary. It is also a good choice when you want to decouple item transport from sorter speed and let belts and bots handle the transfer directly.
- Adjustable storage makes it easy to set a small buffer or a larger reserve depending on the line.
- Works well as a handoff point between Conveyor Belts and Logistics Bots.
- Can be used to bypass sorter bottlenecks in transfer-heavy setups.
- Supports building a Logistics Distributor on top of it, enabling denser logistics layouts.
- It was formerly known as Storage MK.N, where N was written in Roman numerals.
