Logistics Carrier Capacity
Overview
Logistics carrier capacity is a logistics research upgrade that increases the maximum cargo carried by Logistics bots, Logistics drones, and Logistics vessels. At higher levels, it also increases the storage capacity of each logistics station. Like Logistics carrier engine, it improves transport efficiency, but by making each trip carry more, it also reduces the power cost and
The upgrade begins with no bonus and can be researched up to level 13. Early levels are gated by Planetary logistics system, and later levels require Interstellar logistics system. Its effects are split by transport type and station type:
- Logistics bot capacity increases from 8 to 20 total.
Logistics Drone capacity increases from 25 to 200 total.
Logistics Vessel capacity increases from 200 to 2000 total.
- Planetary logistics station capacity increases from 5000 to 10000 total.
- Interstellar logistics station capacity increases from 10000 to 20000 total.
The cargo bonuses scale in steps rather than all at once. For Logistics bots, the increases are +1 at levels 1–2, +2 at levels 3–7, and no further increase after level 8. For Logistics drones, the increases are +5 at levels 1–3, +10 at levels 4–7, +20 at levels 8–13. For Logistics vessels, the increases are +100 at levels 3–7 and +200 from level 8 onward. Station capacity increases only at higher tiers: Planetary logistics station capacity rises by +100 from levels 3–7 and by +200 from level 8 onward, while Interstellar logistics station capacity increases by +1000 from levels 9–13; the higher station tier also gains +2000 per level from level 9 onward.
Because the research makes each trip more productive, it is especially valuable for long-distance supply chains and interstellar shipping, where reducing the number of trips directly lowers energy use and warper demand.
