Copper Ingot

Copper ingot is a basic crafting material smelted from Copper Ore in a Smelter, or produced directly from the Icarus Replicator. It is a general-purpose intermediate item used in a wide variety of structures and components, and is valued for its conductivity.

Compared with Iron Ingots, Copper Ingots are not required directly in as many recipes, but they still appear unexpectedly across many production chains. They are also used as an input for ammunition, so maintaining a modest stockpile helps avoid interruptions when expanding production or outfitting logistics.

• Copper Ingots are often less urgent to carry in the inventory than Magnetic Coils or Circuit Boards, since those items are more commonly needed for immediate crafting.
• Because they are basic smelted materials, Copper Ingots are usually best produced continuously rather than crafted only on demand.
• Their demand is spread across many recipes, so surplus storage is useful even when current production lines do not consume them heavily.
