Overview

The Annihilation Constraint Sphere is a high-tech component used in the production of Antimatter fuel rods and the Artificial star. It is a late-game item and is normally associated with the megastructure phase of the factory, since both of its main consumers are primarily relevant after the game has been effectively cleared.

Its ingredients are Processor and Particle Container. Demand for the item rises in the late game, but the required volume is still relatively modest compared with many other advanced products, so its production is unlikely to become the main bottleneck for either input material. Because of this, a dedicated supply line can usually be kept compact while still remaining fully sufficient.

  • Crafting time is very long, so the item should be automated rather than hand-crafted.
  • In most cases, only a small setup is needed, typically 1–3 assemblers.
  • A larger production line is only necessary if the factory is relying on the Artificial star to power everything, which greatly increases the need for this component.
  • The item is a key intermediate for Antimatter Fuel Rod production, so keeping its output stable helps prevent downstream interruptions in late-game energy systems.

Several production routes can be used to support its manufacturing, including Unipolar Magnet-based, Fire Ice-based, Coal- and Sulfuric Acid-based, and Crude Oil- and Sulfuric Acid-based chains. The Crude Oil-based chain requires special attention because the Hydrogen generated during production must be recycled through the system to maintain full efficiency; any Hydrogen shown as remaining in the final stage is surplus that can be redirected elsewhere.

Overall, the Annihilation Constraint Sphere is one of the advanced components that benefits most from early automation planning. Once the factory reaches the stage where Antimatter fuel rods and Artificial stars are being produced, a small but reliable supply is usually enough to support long-term use.
